Staples- week of 8/12

Here's what I bought this week at Staples:

(1) Hammermill Copy Paper - $6.99 Submit for easy rebate and you will get $5.99 back, so it makes these $1 after rebate.  Limit 2
(3) Composition notebooks- $.10 each (must have $5 minimum purchase to get this price so just pick up a ream of the copy paper and you'll be good.)  Limit 3
(4) Lucky 2-packs hand sanitizer- $.50 each.  Limit 6  (I only bought 4 b/c I usually get hand sanitizer for free elsewhere, but this price isn't too bad.)
(2) 8-pack No. 2 Yellow pencil- $.25 each.  Limit 2.  (*I almost thought this was a rip-off considering I've been getting mechanical pencils for the same price or even free after rebate, but a lot of teachers don't like the younger kids to have mechanical pencils.  But if you need regular pencils this would be a good deal.)
(2) Dual size Pencil Sharpeners- $.50 each  (This is a great deal considering 3 weeks ago I bought just the single pencil sharpeners for the same price.)  Limit 2
(2) Slider Pencil Cases- $.50 each  Limit 2.
(1) 7-pack Zebra Z-grips retractable pens- $3.00 Submit for easy rebate and this will be free after you get your rebate.  Limit 1.

My total for everything was $14.79 + tax.  I will get $5.99+ $3.99 back in easy rebates.  So technically I got all this for $4.81 + tax.

*Also went out to Wal-mart and picked up 10 more notebooks.  They have them on sale for $.17 each.  These NEVER go to waste in our house.  The kids love to draw, write, make Fantasy football lists, etc.

Staples week of 8/5- 8/11

How many school supplies does a homeschooling mom need? I have no idea, but I sure am going to be prepared! Staples is becoming my new favorite store!! Here's my list of what you should buy this week. (I sure am getting bossy, huh? Practicing my teacher skills.) This week's penny deal is pack of filler notebook paper, limit 5. For the penny deals you must spend a minimum of $5 on other item
s. Last week was kind of hard for me to get to that $5 min...we wandered the store for about 20 min looking for great deals. This week- NO PROBLEM at all.
1. (2) Pencil boxes- .50 each (They had these on sale a few weeks back, but this is such a good deal that we picked up a couple more.)
2. (2) packs mini composition notebooks (these come in packs of 2 so you essentially get 4)- .25/pack (I have no idea what we'll use these for but for .25/pack it was too good of a deal to pass up. Maybe I'll save them for vacation in Dec and the kids will have something to write in on the drive down to TN. Anyway, moving along....)
3. (1) Post-it 2x3 label pad- 2.99 (qualifies for easy rebate so free after the rebate. This does count towards your $5 minimum)
4. (2) 4-packs of Dry-Erase markers- 1.00/pack
5. (2) 2-packs of white out- .50/pack
6. (2) Crayola Markers- .65 each (The ad said .75 each, but my staples had them for .65 each! Jackpot!)
7. (2) 5-packs black Sharpie markers- 1.00/pack
8. (2) 3-packs of Pentel white Polymer erasers- .25/pack
9. (2) 2-packs BIC Velocity Gel Pens- .25/pack (Matt is super happy about these)
10. (2) packs Paper Mate mechanical pencils- .50/ pack
11. And obviously, the 5 packs of filler paper.

I spent $13.74 (including tax) out of pocket. I also submitted my rebate online for the post-its. So technically less than $10 for everything.

*Another great deal this week is copy/computer paper. 6.99/ream and submit for 5.99 online rebate= $1.00/ ream. Limit 2.

So GO!! Get yourself out there to snatch up these deals!
